Our Vision & Values

Vision Statement

School Values

Tickhill Estfeld Primary School promotes achievement and learning for life. We are an inclusive school and have high expectations of all pupils within an ethos of support, challenge and encouragement to succeed. We help our pupils to develop the skills, values and attitudes that will enable them to be confident and independent learners, with the ability to work alongside and with others, in a safe and considerate way. We equip them for next stage of their education and foster the development of skills and attitudes that will enable them to be flexible and to adapt to the challenges posed by the modern world throughout their lives.

The personal, social and emotional development of our pupils is a priority – we believe that everybody has a right to be happy and a responsibility to ensure that this is so. We are all responsible for our actions and know that we must treat others with understanding and respect. We accept our responsibility to the community in developing in our pupils the skills that will enable them to make a positive contribution to society. Our school provides a secure and safe environment that is well-equipped and maintained to meet the demands and challenges of a modern curriculum. Our creative curriculum provides pupils with a range of rich and varied learning opportunities, enhanced by a programme of extra-curricular activities and visits.

Our committed and professional staff work hard to provide our pupils with stimulating learning experiences in a positive environment, through high quality teaching and an investigative approach to learning. We help our pupils to develop enquiring minds and a spirit of curiosity; to enjoy learning as a valuable lifelong experience; to achieve high standards in all that they do. We challenge them, we encourage them to take risks, and to be resilient.

We value the learning partnerships between school, home and the community. We are fortunate to have supportive parents and carers and friends of school in the wider community, who help us to provide enriching and creative activities for our pupils, both inside and outside school. The partnership between parents, pupils, staff and governors all help to ensure that we maintain and continue develop an environment in which our pupils thrive. School is a happy, secure place, where there is challenge and support, where all have a chance to shine, and where success is rewarded.

At Tickhill Estfeld we encourage the development of values and expectations based on bravery, responsibility, integrity and kindness. Our pupils’ health and emotional wellbeing is our priority. We emphasise the importance of caring, sharing and learning to work and play together in a secure and happy environment; skills and attitudes which will be vital in later life. We want all of our pupils to be a happy and to value themselves as unique individuals, to celebrate diversity, to respect differences and to work together as a community, enabling all of our children to enjoy their education and make progress in all areas of learning. The school’s curriculum has been carefully designed to ensure knowledge, breadth of coverage and progression. It provides pupils with memorable experiences, and opportunities to develop learning attitudes that are transferable and will support their learning now and in the future.
